Jack J Hutchinson was born in 1982 in Leicester, spending his formative years in the north west before moving to London in 2005. He has been gigging and recording for the best part of 18 years, sharing the stage with some of the best known blues musicians around today including supporting Ian Siegal, Paul Lamb and Ron Sayer, whilst also playing many high profile gigs with pop acts such as Dodgy, Crispian Mills and Jake Bugg.
His single ‘If You Let Me Love You’ – a cover of the BB King classic – was named in Dave Watkins’ top 5 singles of 2013, whilst his last solo album ‘Feathers and Fools’ was released to critical acclaim.
“Every now and then I hear a song that makes me sit up and listen, and the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. That’s what happened when I heard Jack J Hutchinson’s new single If You Let Me Love You” – Clive Rawlings (Writer for Blues Matters! Magazine)
“Fat sounding blues-rock, cool guitar and great vocals!” – Ron Sayer (Guitarist of the Year)
“Hutchinson exists as a simultaneous echo of the past and glimpse into the future. With modern jam band revivals forcefully popping up in both the U.S. and the UK, Hutchinson’s ability to alternate between singer/songwriter and adaptable session player gives him an edge over other artists struggling to latch permanent tags to their work.” – Blues Rock Review
