BLACK HONEY are one of those special bands that slowly build the buzz, releasing one killer single after another and steadily charting an ascent to widespread exposure. One of the surest bets for stealing hearts and minds at festivals this Summer, Izzy Baxter (vox & guitar) and her 3 bandmates are paying their first visit to Bedford (twice before, we’ve had dates fall through at the last minute). What do they sound like? Well, imagine if Lana Del Ray fronted Pixies… They combine dark grunge with sweet, sticky Americana and a hint of spikiness but argue they couldn’t have come from anywhere other than these isles.

Like Wolf Alice before them, they’re taking their time, plotting… not over-playing and building the anticipation by dropping a belter of a tune that’s even better than the last ear-attacker they treated us to.

This will probably be your last chance to capture them in a small venue, so, to say “I was there when”, you know what to do (and I don’t mean lie about it – buy a ticket now!)
