The brainchild of Gordon Chapman-Fox, the brilliantly named Warrington-Runcorn New Town Development Plan have to date released three albums of that pay homage to the brutalist beauty of Cheshire’s designated new towns of Warrington and Runcorn.
Simultaneously evoking both the past and the future with their evocative electronics they’ve played the End of the Road festival and been compared to Boards of Canada as well as a certain German band…
‘The sound of Kraftwerk charting the ring roads of Milton Keynes rather than the autobahns of Europe…’
