SUMMARY:Coach Party + Kynsy + Kc Blackwater
DESCRIPTION:Emerging from the Isle of Wight in 2019\, Coach Party are a dynamic British indie rock quartet comprising lead vocalist and bassist Jess Eastwood\, guitarists Joe Perry and Steph Norris\, and drummer Guy Page. SUMMARY:Guy Griffin & Nashville’s Dylan Taylor ft Max Milligan
DESCRIPTION:Guy Griffin\, a seasoned guitarist and songwriter known for his long tenure with The Quireboys since 1989\, and now singer with Black Eyed Sons who’ve just released the critically acclaimed album *Cowboys in Pinstriped Suits*\,(which entered the official UK album charts and debuted at number 1 in the official UK Blues Chart) is set to perform his first acoustic solo shows\, joined by Vertical Records artist Dylan Taylor from Nashville\, Tennessee\, and world-renowned session guitarist Max Milligan\, along with other guest musicians. Griffin’s career is rich with collaborations\, including working with Joe Elliott of Def Leppard on the side project Down ‘n’ Outz\, which produced three studio albums\, as well as recording and performing with Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke and Ian Hunter of Mott the Hoople. He’s also toured worldwide with bands like The Rolling Stones\, Guns N’ Roses\, Bon Jovi\, and Aerosmith. Griffin’s own recording history features an elite roster of producers: Bob Rock (Metallica\, Michael Bublé)\, Chris Kimsey (The Rolling Stones)\, Chris Tsangarides (Thin Lizzy)\, Ron Nevison (Led Zeppelin)\, Dusty Wakeman (Dwight Yoakam)\, and Ronan McHugh (Def Leppard) \nFor this acoustic debut\, Griffin will pull from his extensive back catalogue\, unveil new material\, and reinterpret a few choice covers\, all in a “stripped back roots/Americana” style. This approach highlights his talents anew\, merging his rock n roll foundation with Taylor’s Nashville soul and Milligan’s virtuoso touch. As of February 21\, 2025\, the show offers an intimate look at Griffin’s artistry\, bolstered by his remarkable collaborations and production legacy.

SUMMARY:Collapsed Lung
DESCRIPTION:The band that brought you the hits EAT MY GOAL (1996) and… EAT MY GOAL (1998) are back! Collapsed Lung\, brit-hop iconoclasts and pranksters (established 1992) return to Bradford (for the first time in 32 years!) with their freewheeling\, genre-hopping\, social-commenting\, huge beat-having live band hip hop fusion.\n\nCollapsed Lung were the first signing to Steve Lamacq’s Deceptive Records label in early 1993. They released two EPs with original vocalist Nihal Arthanayake (now a fixture on BBC Radio Five Live) before linking up with MC Jim Burke for their albums “Jackpot Goalie” (1995) and “Cooler” (1996). Eat My Goal was originally an album track on their debut\, but after getting picked up to soundtrack the Coca Cola campaign for Euro 96\, the band reworked it into the version that became a hit.\n\nSince re-activating in 2015 they’ve released two DIY masterpieces – 2019s ZERO HOURS BAND\, and 2023s COLLAPSED LUNG WEEKEND TELEVISION. Have they grown up? Not necessarily. But the beats and lyrics are defintely harder and angrier respectively.

SUMMARY:This way to the.... BIG SPECIAL - 11 bands across 2 stages
DESCRIPTION:THIS WAY TO THE…. BIG SPECIAL \nOn Easter Sunday (20th April 2025)\, Big Special would like to invite you to a rather spectacular performance alongside some of their favourite bands across the two stages of Bedford’s Esquires venue. \nIf you need an introduction to Big Special\, welcome! How was it under that rock? Britain may have been hit with some rather adverse weather conditions of late\, but this does not compare to the tempest created by the black country boys. Crashing through 2024 with muscular zeal and laser enthusiasm on a mission to play all corners of the country/continent/planet they’ve made a habit of owning ears and blowing minds. Big Special are a band with something important to say\, sculpting songs that highlight the unfairness of life with brutal social commentary alongside an element of dry\, dark humour. Their music is so visceral yet so dainty as highlighted on debut album ‘Post Industrial Hometown Blues’\, a mighty leviathan of a long-playing piece of wax. Just remember\, sometimes it really can be BIG and SPECIAL. Guinness all round. \nSo… how to curate an event that transcends all others? Simple… get the best people who are in the best bands who play the best tunes. The main stage awaits the gravelly spike-pop of Bristol based punksters Grandmas House\, post-punk trio Alien Chicks who serve up tunes seemingly formed of equal parts flick-knife and sherbet. Sounds Mint return to Bedford to bring their punk rap infused medley mélange with choruses so big they reach past Godzilla’s armpit and Derby poetry-punks Kez have the honour of kicking proceedings off in the big room. \nThe second stage plays host to some of the buzziest of buzz bands around\, headlined by Isle-of-Wight pop-punk duo The Pill who revel in “raw unfiltered chaos” – YES! Another duo\, Gans create a groove-laden cacophony that performs weird alchemy on your feet\, you will shimmy\, you will sway. Coventry’s Shortstraw. weaponise their rap-poetry-rock fusion with mighty hooks and bouncy rhythms and The Battery Farm bring their feral powerhouse dark-rock to the party with a performance that is guaranteed to be right up in your face. Garagey rock 3-piece Tarmac open room2 and are a safe bet to make sure the day starts with a sonic blast. The appropriate way to close a festival is to bring Enjoyable Listens in for their slinky anthemic “lounge” set. So we have. And… you’re welcome. \nTickets on sale at seetickets.com for £22.50. That’s £2 a band with 50p for a tip. Very generous of you. This way to the… Big Special.

SUMMARY:The Undercover Hippy - The Last Stand: UK Tour 2025 + Easydread
DESCRIPTION:The Undercover Hippy – The Last Stand: UK Tour 2025 \n7:30pm Friday 18th April – Bedford Esquires \nTaking a Stand for a World Gone Sideways \nAs the planet hurtles toward what feels like a never-ending season finale—chaos\, climate crisis\, and a world leader or two you wouldn’t trust with a toaster—The Undercover Hippy are stepping up to do what they do best: make sense of the madness\, one song at a time. \nBased in Bristol and fronted by singer-songwriter Billy Rowan\, The Undercover Hippy blend conscious lyrics with infectious grooves that hit harder than a tabloid headline. Their music fuses elements of reggae\, hip-hop\, and ska\, serving up sharp social commentary wrapped in warm\, danceable beats. Think The Specials meets Eminem\, with a healthy dose of satire. \nBut don’t let their easygoing sound fool you. The lyrics are sharp\, addressing everything from corrupt politicians and corporate greed to the importance of compassion and unity in a fractured world. It’s this balance of humour and hard-hitting honesty that has won the band a dedicated fanbase across the UK and beyond. \nThe Live Experience\nIf you’ve never seen The Undercover Hippy live\, imagine a party where you dance till your legs ache\, laugh till your cheeks hurt\, and leave feeling like you’ve just been hugged by 300 strangers who all believe in a better tomorrow. Packed with energy\, crowd interaction\, and an ever-so-slightly anarchic spirit\, their shows are a communal experience—a space to let loose\, think critically\, and maybe even shout a little louder than usual. \nThe Mission\nWith their latest tour\, the band are tackling the chaos head-on. This isn’t just about the music; it’s about making a stand. As the shadow of fascism looms large and the spectre of nuclear armageddon creeps ever closer\, The Undercover Hippy are doing what they can to flip the upside-down world back the right way up. Armed with wit\, rhythm\, and a sprinkling of hope\, they’re leading the charge for change. It might just be music\, but sometimes music is all you need to spark a revolution. \nJoin them on their mission to laugh in the face of disaster\, dance through the doom\, and remember that the fight’s not over until the last bassline drops. \nBecause if the world’s going to end\, we might as well have a good time trying to save it. \nTickets priced £18.50 are on sale from Seetickets and in person from Slide Record Shop and Esquires Bar.

DESCRIPTION:PALE BLUE EYES + Guests\n7:30pm Sunday 13th April\, Bedford Esquires\n\nPleased to announce the return of PALE BLUE EYES to Bedford Esquires on Friday 13th April\n\nBorn of a cross-pollination between Totnes and Sheffield\, Pale Blue Eyes have been steadily grafting over a number of years to exact their modernist pop vision. At the ship’s helm\, Matt and Lucy Board are a genuine marriage of two stylistic perspectives\, each bringing unique sonic tropes to the table. It is the pair’s fascination with DIY ethic\, retro synths and reminiscence that truly fuels their sound world\, calling upon nostalgia and a captivating optimism.\n\nThe third part of the Pale Blue Eyes triad arrived when Matt and Lucy met bassist Aubrey Simpson at South Devon’s Sea Change festival. Together they’ve made two albums\, with several tracks from both the albums playlisted at BBC Radio 6 Music. They’ve played two Riley sessions\, toured extensively in the UK and Europe\, supported GOAT\, Slowdive\, Sea Power\, The Editors\, Public Service Broadcasting\, FEWS and more…\n\nThe band look forward to releasing their third album in 2025 on their own imprint\, Broadcast Recordings. As with the first two albums the record has been produced by the band and final mixed and mastered by Dean Honer. Honer has produced the likes of The Human League\, Add N to (x) and Roisin Murphy and worked with countless Sheffield names from Jarvis Cocker to Tony Christie.\n\nUnder the Radar: “Pale Blue Eyes are one of the most exciting bands to emerge from the UK in recent years. Taking their cue from the likes of M83\, Slowdive and The Velvet Underground\, they’ve fast become one of the circuit’s must-see acts.”\nMarc Riley\, BBC 6 Music: “Really\, really\, great sophisticated pop music ”\n\nTickets priced £16.50 are on sale from Seetickets online and available in person from Slide Record Shop and Esquires Bar.

SUMMARY:MAN/WOMAN/CHAINSAW + Thistle
DESCRIPTION:We’re very excited to have the hotter than hot\, MAN/WOMAN/CHAINSAW coming to town next April as part of our 35th anniversary celebrations.\n\nA precociously talented band from London\, who recently celebrated their 100th gig. Since their debut at 16 years old and across three self-released singles\,the band have proven themselves as one of the most exciting and unpredictable young acts in the capital\, both joyous and raucous in equal measures. Last year’s “What Lucy Found There” was to be their breakthrough\, securing attention for the band from the likes of The Quietus\, NME\, The Line Of Best Fit\, So Young\, BBC 6 Music and more.\n\nThis November the band truly come of age with their debut EP\, “Eazy Peazy”\, to land on the indie taste-maker label Fat Possum Records. Recorded with Gilla Band’s Daniel Fox at Echo Zoo studio in Eastbourne\, the group present us with cinematic arrangements\, mauled by moments of cacophony; the band’s Billy Ward says of their writing process\,“we thrive on the thin line between pretty and noisy\, often trying to jump between the two-it’s that chaos that excites us.”\n\nFrom the driving immediacy of opener “The Boss”\, to the robust backbone of “SportsDay”\, to the theatrical beauty of “Grow A Tongue In Time” and orchestral highlight “Ode To Clio”\, the six track EP captures all the cerebral intensity\, and celebratory melody\, of the Man/Woman/Chainsaw live performance. It signals the start proper for a band who have been allowed to experiment\, given the time to find their sound and line-up in a vibrant\, supportive DIY community\, and who will surely finish the year ready to take on the next with unbridled confidence. With boundless potential like theirs\, you’d not bet against them.\n\nTickets are on sale right now from Seetickets:\nAvailable locally from Wednesday 13th November\nThis is a 14+ ages show\, under 16s to be accompanied by an adult

SUMMARY:David ‘Ram Jam’ Rodigan | Bedford
DESCRIPTION:We’re super excited to announce a very intimate show with the living legend that is David ‘Ram Jam’ Rodigan on Friday 4th April\, as part of our 35th anniversary year! \nFor over 35 years David Rodigan has been the top dog in the ganja-scented\, bass heavy-atmosphere of Britain’s reggae dance-halls. The key to his success has been an unsinkable passion for reggae music\, which first took a hold of him as a schoolboy when he heard ska music in the early ’60s. \nHe developed an obsession with the music of Jamaica that generated an encyclopaedic knowledge of the island’s every artist\, every song and every rhythm track. His parties have gone down in folklore\, as he takes you through a journey of the tiny island that shaped music like no other. \nTickets are going on sale this Sunday\, 3rd November at 10am\, to give as many people a chance to grab tickets and not having to worry about work. Available from See and local outlets.
