SUMMARY:The Pad Presents // MARK MORRISS (The Bluetones) // Saturday 25th June - Bedford Esquires
DESCRIPTION:THE PAD PRESENTS\nhttp://www.theadpresents.com \nMARK MORRISS + Guests \nMark Morriss is a singer songwriter who famously made his name fronting English indie outfit The Bluetones. Mark fronted the four piece over a successful and fruitful 15 year period\, scoring 14 top ten singles and 3 top ten albums\, whilst touring the UK\, Europe and Japan. At the back end of 2011 the decision was made to disband The Bluetones\, resulting in a shock farewell tour. Hordes of loyal Bluetones fans turned out in their thousands to give the band they called their own\, a fond and sad farewell. \nA case of unfinished business\, Mark Morriss reformed the band for a series of shows in 2016\, but has now turned his attentions back to his solo career\, and comes to Esquires for an intimate gig on Saturday 25th June. \nFull support line up to be announced \nTickets are on sale now from Seetickets.com here:\nhttp://www.seetickets.com/event/mark-morriss-the-bluetones-/bedford-esquires/977604 \nOn sale locally very soon

Thrillingly accurate\, the group have amassed a huge following and regularly play to packed out venues both here and abroad. You may also know them from their massively popular Sunday morning slot at the Glastonbury Festival. \n2016 will be the 30th anniversary of the release of The Smiths third studio album and their magnus opus – ‘The Queen is Dead’. In celebration\, The Smyths will be playing the album in full – ‘There is a Light That Never Goes Out’\, ‘Bigmouth Strikes Again’\, ‘I Know it’s Over’ etc. In fact\, with the album orginally released on the 16th June 1986\, the gig in Bedford will very much be a 30th anniversary show! \nTickets are £12.50 in advance\, available from http://www.seetickets.com / http://www.wegotickets.com and shortly from Danny’s Bar and Mario’s Hair Design in Kempston. \nNo support – The Smyths will play two sets\, one comprising of The Queen is Dead in it entirety and another of other singles\, classics\, b-sides and the songs that saved your life…
