Having packed out Bedford Corn Exchange 3 times in the past with over 600 in attendance this time we have decided to keep it a bit more intimate as Neville makes his debut at Bedford Esquires.  \nFor anyone who doesn’t know\, Neville Staple is one of the great figureheads of the second wave of British ska that broke across the nation’s music scene in the late 70s best known for his work as the singer / toaster in Ska and Two Tone legends The Specials.   \nAlongside Terry Hall and Jerry Dammers\, Neville Staple was at the centre of perhaps UK ska’s most-loved bands The Specials.  The band had seven consecutive top 10 hits between 1979 and 1981.\nNeville’s solo tour features a selection of The Special’s back catalogue including “Gangsters”\, “A Message to you Rudy”\, “Monkey Man”\, “Ghost Town” and “Nightclub” along with tracks from his second chart topping band The Fun Boy Three as well as reworking some original Jamaican ska classics and showcasing some brand new original solo material. \nFollowing on from the massive Specials reunion back in 2009 to 2012 Neville has since left the fold and released a brand new album  the band album in the spring of 2014 ‘Ska Crazy’ to rave reviews. \nExpect all the hits and more from one of ska’s most loved artists – Get ready to skank ‘cos the king of Two Tone is ready to party!\nTickets priced £15 on sale now online from Seetickets and can be picked up in person from Esquires Bar\, Planet Boutique and Mario’s Hair Design \nFollowing the live show DJ Pete Burridge will be spinning classic vinyl in the bar until late

For their next show at the venue the band will be playing in full the set Oasis played at Knebworth back in 1996\, track by track reproducing the show in full.  \nBack in 1996 the Knebworth shows were quite simply the biggest gigs of the UK had ever seen with incredibly\, one in 20 Britons applying for tickets.  Over that weekend a quarter of a million eventually got to see Liam\, Noel\, Bonehead\, Guigsy and Whitey as they confirmed their status as the most popular British band since The Beatles with the event often being referred to crowning of Britpop. \nFor those who have not been to a Noasis gig before they are the definitive tribute band to Manchester’s five piece super group Oasis.
