Taken from the album\, new single No Pleasure Only Pain is out 30th November 2018 via TT Records. \n​ \nWritten about the animal attraction you feel for someone even when you know they will only cause you pain\, No Pleasure Only Pain rages with the band’s trademark ferocity as whirring hooks race alongside tremendous beats and the immense power of front-woman Dolly Daggerz’ vocals. As guitarist Mickey Danger’s riotous riffs blast into your ears\, the track’s propelled by a feisty power that’ll instantly hit you with its seething frenzied energy. Of the track\, Daggerz explains: “It’s like being so totally seduced that you’d sell your body\, but wanting to run and hide somewhere on the opposite side of the planet simultaneously! It’s about that sense of danger that we’re sometimes attracted to.” \n​ \nTokyo Taboo’s upcoming album was funded in part by a hugely successful Pledge Campaign. DESCRIPTION:Dr and the Medics were created almost at the dawn of the 80’s\, in 1982 by The Rev Dr. Clive Thomas Jackson.\nThe band has had a very colourful and successful career as both recording artists and performers. Undoubtedly they are been best known for their massive 1986 No 1 “Spirit in the Sky\,” which sold over 24 Million copies world wide and was number 1 in 23 countries!! They are also recognized as a great live act\, in 1985 the NME referred to them as “THE live band of the year.” \nOften promoted as 1 hit wonders\, the band claim to be the only 1 hit wonder to have had 2 hits as their next single “Burn\,” got to number 21!! But as they don’t make documentaries or publish books about one and a half hit wonders\, the Doctor keeps quiet about “The other hit\,” and wears his “One Hit Wonder” badge with pride!!! \nThe band’s last chart entry was “Waterloo” which they recorded with Roy Wood\, In addition the band have recorded 5 albums\, the latest being a live album featuring the current line up which is due out this year. This line up has been together since 1999 and has developed a unique and sensationally flamboyant live show. The current show features many hits from the 80’s\, All given the Medics unique treatment!! Such is the power of their performance that they produced the shock result of the TV show “Hit Me Baby One More Time\,” when they won the studio vote for best act against Jackie Graham\, Belinda Carlisle and………………….. SHAKIN STEVENS!!!

Gaz Coombes is recovering a feeling – the moment you first realise that music can give you goose-bumps\, make your hair stand on end. He got it aged fourteen\, and he’s getting it again now. It was a “new emotion\,” he recalls. “Like nothing I’d felt before\, and it would choke me. I was always in tune with that feeling\, but never quite brave enough to explore it myself.”  \nFor nearly two decades with Supergrass\, Coombes came to embody the oddball end of British indie and Britpop. But it is through his solo work that he has found himself. With his 2015 album Matador\, he presented a new musical identity: wide-screen\, emotional\, cinematic and full of artistic surprises. It earned him a Mercury Prize nomination. “With Matador I almost got it right…” he says.  \nWith World’s Strongest Man\, Coombes brings that solo self into dazzling definition. There’s more space and light in the music\, which takes its motorik drive from krautrock (first single\, Deep Pockets\, is surreal night-time car journey) and its subtle soundscapes from introspective West Coast hip hop. Lyrically\, he points the searchlight inwards to explore what it means to be free and doing life on your own terms. Following up in 2018\, the band signed to independent record label Lucky Boy Records\, and released their second EP “Echo Chamber”. A collection of fierce rock anthems\, Echo Chamber is an expression of people’s frustrations in all walks of life.
